22UK is a list of 22 things a month. The logical endgame, after enough months, is 22 things. A small catalogue of imagined 22-branded ephemera follows. Most of it isn't made yet. Some of it ought to be.

1. Enamel pin — the ʼ22ʼ badge

   Brass, hard-enamel, 20mm. Worn on lapel, denim, or tote-bag strap. Single navy field, cream numerals, deferential.

2. A3 risograph poster — ʼ22 yardsʼ

   Pitch diagram, two colours, one footnote. Suitable for kitchens, cricket clubs, dentists' waiting rooms.

3. Tote — heavy canvas

   Natural cotton, twin handles, a single '22' serifed in oxblood on the front. Holds a month's groceries and one pair of wellies.

4. Tea towel — 22 counties

   A printed list of 22 current and historical English counties, set as if it were a tradespeople's tally.

5. Notebook — A6 saddle-stitched

   22 lined pages. 80gsm off-white. Numbered spine. Runs out before a daily journal gets tedious.

6. Tattoo flash — sheet 01

   Ten small 22-themed designs: cricket bail, 22-pointed star, pitch, pin, bridge, tarot Fool, Hebrew aleph, cap badge, shilling, cartouche.

7. Postcards — set of 22

   Unbranded picture postcards of 22 overlooked places. Pre-stamped. Addressed to your own future self is fine.

8. Mug — pint-capacity

   Bone china, one handle, a single hairline rule at 22ml-from-top. For pacing yourself.

9. Rubber stamp — 'approved: 22'

   Red ink. For email printouts, book flyleaves, letters from the council.

10. Lapel flag — woven

    Single square, one colour, numeral. Looks best pinned to a wool blazer in October.

11. Bookmark — brass

    Flat brass strip, 120mm, '22' etched at the top. Wears a patina within a month.

12. Keyring — anodised aluminium

    Black-anodised rectangle, one small '22', deliberately unbranded.

13. Cap — unstructured six-panel

    Ecru cotton, navy underbrim, embroidered '22' at the front, nothing at the back.

    Inside: blank. Front: a large '22'. Back: 'sent for no reason in particular'.

    Offset-printed, 100g, tight-lidded. '22 blend' is black PG + a lie about loose leaf.

18. Bottle opener — machined steel

    A solid block, the '22' cut through it. Heavy enough to double as a paperweight.

19. Wall calendar — 22 months

    Atypical horizon. Begins in January. Ends when the bottle opener breaks your desk.

20. Map — A2, folded

    A British Isles map with a single dot on every place called, or formerly called, 'Twenty-two'.

21. Socks — cotton/wool blend

    Navy, mid-calf, one discreet '22' at the arch. Not at the ankle; ankles deserve peace.

22. Cufflinks — enamel, pair

    Round, 14mm, navy with cream '22'. For one wedding and every funeral.
